We recommend that you use the "Web Update..." command on VisiMap Professional 4.2's Help menu to update your copy. This will automatically find the appropriate update file to download, perform the download, and install it on your computer.

Alternatively, you can download and install the SP-1 update manually. There are two editions of the SP-1 update available for download, and the one you should choose depends on whether you installed VisiMap Professional 4.2 from the multi-user distribution kit or from the single-user distribution kit.

If you are in doubt about which kit you installed from, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the CoCo Systems\Installers folder directly under your Program Files folder. This would normally be:

but this may differ on your computer (especially on non-English installations of Windows). Once you have navigated to this folder, you will find a sub-folder named either of the following:

VisiMap Pro 4.2 (English, Multi-User Install)

or

VisiMap Pro 4.2 (English, Single-User Install)

This will indicate which distribution kit you installed VisiMap Professional 4.2 from. Download and install the appropriate update as described in the following:

After installation of the update VisiMap Pro should, on the ‘splash screen’ and About box, report its version as 4.2 SP-1 (Build 1520).

Changes in 4.2 SP-1

Service Pack 1 includes the following:

• Added support for export to Office 2010 (32-bit) applications.
• When exporting to Excel, VisiMap Pro is now more resilient to Excel errors that occur with long map centre titles.
• The suggested filename is now present in the filename box in Save forms, and the filename extension now changes according to the selected save file type.
• In the MS Word export filter, fixed exception reported when creating styles that already exist.
• Fixed issue where pasting a new branch could erroneously add notes constructed from previously processed text.
• Fixed badly-displayed and looping message box that could occur when changing branch style to a header style via the Properties form.
